SALES MARKETING EXECUTIVE

Full Time, 30 – 40 hours per week, Flexible Hours, Permanent.

Salary £11 to £13.00 per hour + bonus’s circa 21K to 25k +up to 20% bonus, pro rata.

With the exciting opening of our new gallery space in Brighton, we are now looking for a senior member of staff with the relevant level of experience to assist the owner with the running of the gallery.

We are a successful and established art gallery in the Centre of Brighton, with 35 years previous experience in the Art Industry, focusing on music and Iconic Pop Culture, working with a number of established British and World-renowned artists and photographers, some sold exclusively at our gallery. We have just moved to a new, larger premises and you will be able to help in this exciting new chapter in the development of the gallery.

Your Profile

We are looking for a personable Sales Consultant who has a passion for art and flair for developing strong customer relationships. You must be organised, have excellent IT experience and enjoy turning your hand to a variety of tasks, to ensure the gallery runs smoothly. This role would suit someone with at least 3 years Sales experience and some Marketing/Social Media experience would be an advantage. Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to use spreadsheets is essential.

Duties

  • 30 to 40 hours per week, working up to 5 days, over a 7 day working week, on a rota basis.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by using your social skills and engaging personality. Helping clientele to find the best art, by understanding their requirements and keep aware of our Artist details and collections, so that you can confidently and fluently convey this to our clients.
  • Sales are often a continuation of an initial visit to the gallery and you will need to continue to engage with clients by phone and email, which will also help develop sales and customer loyalty.
  • Support the gallery owner with the day to day running of the gallery helping with curating, keeping the gallery looking good and ensuring artwork is hung securely and kept safe.
  • Manage client and artist sales orders, raise customer invoices, take payments, prepare and pack orders for shipping often by courier, both locally and abroad. Track inventory and populate the customer database to following up with clients or potential customers.
  • Support the current Marketing team to create weekly posts on social media accounts, encouraging customer reviews and engaging in follow up activities. Liaise with external suppliers to update the gallery’s website and support social events with artists and other interested business partners.

We offer a very competitive salary, concessionary bonus’s based on current projections and real figures achieved to date, holidays, pension (if requested) and the potential for some level of flexible working and you will need to work regular days and hours, weekends and bank holidays. This will be a permanent position, following the successful completion of a 6 month probationary period.
