Milton H. Greene
Milton H. Greene (1922–1985) was a celebrated American photographer renowned for his contributions to fashion photography and portraiture. Starting his career at the age of 14, Greene quickly gained recognition for his innovative approach, earning the title “Color Photography’s Wonder Boy” by the age of 23. His work appeared in prestigious publications such as Life, Vogue, and Harper’s Bazaar, and he played a pivotal role in elevating fashion photography to the realm of fine art.
Greene is perhaps best remembered for his iconic collaboration with Marilyn Monroe, capturing her in over 50 sittings and producing thousands of images that showcased her multifaceted persona. Together, they formed Marilyn Monroe Productions, producing films like Bus Stop and The Prince and the Showgirl.
