Kevin Cummins
Kevin Cummins is one of the UK’s greatest music photographers. Manchester born, he has shot iconic musicians from Joy Division, The Smiths & Stone Roses to David Bowie & Iggy Pop.
Kevin first began his career as a music photographer after studying photography in Salford for four years. The emerging punk scene in Manchester dominated his early work and he quickly rose to become one of the leading documentary photographers of city and its changing music scene. He shot some of the most iconic images of Manchester’s seminal bands, as well as other leading British & International music artists.
Kevin has contributed to numerous magazines and publications, including being one of the founding contributors to The Face magazine & chief photographer for the NME. Kevin’s work has been included in films and displayed in galleries & exhibitions across the world, including collections in the National Portrait Gallery & V&A in London.
