“Angel of Harlem” Bono / U2 by Louis Sidoli
About this piece: A Portrait of Paul Hewson aka Bono of U2, inspired by their classic track “Angel of Harlem” which was from their 1988 hybrid (live/studio) album “Rattle and Hum”. 80’s Sweet Dreams Online Exhibition is a new collection of fine art prints by Louis Sidoli celebrating some of the most iconic artists and best loved singles of the 1980’s. This collection is visually linked by the ‘circle within a square’ theme, which represents a vinyl record in its sleeve. Sketches of each artist are combined with maps, text and graphics, which tell the story of each track.
“I named this collection after one of my favourite singles of the 1980’s – “Sweet Dreams” by the Eurythmics. I loved the electronic sound, the lyrics and the surreal imagery of the video.”
