About this piece: Muhammad Ali celebrates after knocking out Cleveland Williams in the second round of the World Heavyweight Title fight at the Astrodome in Houston, Texas on November 14, 1966. Many experts and boxers, including Mike Tyson, regard Ali’s performance in this fight to be the finest of his boxing career.
Neil Leifer is an American photographer, author and filmmaker. Perhaps best known for having documented his favorite subject, Muhammad Ali, Leifer captured photos of the up-and-coming boxer – then named Cassius Clay – through his rise to superstardom. In 2014, Leifer became the only photographer to be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
