“V&A Bowie Mask” by Nick Boxall

About this piece: Cast of David Bowie’s face for wall display. As exhibited at The Victoria and Albert museum’s “Bowie” exhibition. Reproduced by the Sculptor Nicholas Boxall who was commissioned by the V&A for the “David Bowie IS” exhibition in 2013/2014. He created a small number of Ltd Edition life masks from a number of Bowie’s personas, which sold out in days. This mask is an open edition, made in toughened plaster, amazingly detailed with every wrinkle and pore evident.
