About this piece: Elton John wields a baseball bat as he stands on his piano in a Bob Mackie sequined uniform during a performance at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium in October of 1975. Elton John performed two legendary concerts back-to-back at the stadium to a then record 110,000 fans, with Terry O’Neill as the official photographer throughout the series of gigs.

Terry O’Neill CBE (1938 – 2019) is one of the world’s most collected photographers, with work hanging in national art galleries and private collections worldwide. From presidents to pop stars, he photographed on the frontlines of fame for over six decades.
