About this piece: Paul Newman and Clint Eastwood are photographed during a chance meeting outside a motel in Tucson, Arizona in 1972. Both men were there making movies with different studios, with Newman working on The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean and Eastwood on Joe Kidd.
