“Il Padrino” Marlon Brando by Louis Sidoli
About this piece: The Godfather is widely regarded as one of the greatest films of all time and is also my personal favourite film of all time. The Godfather featured Marlon Brando as Don Vito Corleone, the head of a powerful Italian-American crime family. “Il Padrino” Marlon Brando by Loius Sidoli is a collage style artwork featuring a map of Sicily showing the village of Corleone – the birth place of Don Vito.
Louis’ Neon Art & Originals: Artist Statement:
“I was the first artist to combine portraiture with neon art. The inspiration came from both Andy Warhol’s 1970’s / 80’s ‘celebrity portraits’ and the work of neon artists such as Dan Flavin, Tracey Emin and Chris Bracey”.
